National Parks

National Parks (1)_edited.png

I drove through thick fog on the approach to Yosemite, couldn't see 20 feet ahead. Then I hit the tunnel! Emerged on the other side to the valley spread out below. El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Fall.  That's Tunnel View. That's a moment i'll never forget.

Its crazy to think that someone got to see this same view with no roads, no tunnels, no other people. Just them and the valley, exactly as it was.

Must have been a trip!

Zion National Park

National Parks (5)_edited.png

I rolled into Zion through the east entrance, winding down that narrow road carved into the mountainside. Pulled over at every turnout I could find. Canyon Overlook, the Checkerboard Mesa, those impossible red and white striped cliffs.

Couldn't do the hikes this time, but even from the road, Zion grabbed me. Those colors, that scale, the way the light moves across the rock.

I'll be back to get the full experience. But even now, I got to see it. That counts for something.
